Don’t upgrade your PC this way
A $1,200 motherboard in a $600 PC. Performance isn’t about one flashy component, it’s about balance.
I see a lot of people upgrade their computer in the worst way. Like, I’ll see them put a $1,200 motherboard in a $600 PC, or they’ll put a $300 part in a $2,000 build.
The key is to have your CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage all be balanced so your PC feels that much faster. Performance isn’t about one flashy component. It’s about balance — making sure all your parts are on the same level.
Drop your parts list into PCPartPicker. If something costs significantly more or less than everything else, that’s your problem.
I think it goes without saying, but don’t go out and buy a $10,000 GPU.
At the end of the day, only upgrade your PC when you’re actually unhappy with its performance.
